Large Meeting Rooms

1. Use of the Carnegie Public Libraries meeting rooms does not imply endorsement by the library, staff, or Trustees, as well, any publicity for events held in library meeting rooms shall not imply endorsement or sponsorship by the Carnegie Public Libraries.
2. All Large Meeting Room users must abide by the Large Meeting Room Regulations and Policies.
3. A deposit of $25 is required to confirm reservations for the room and will be returned to you when the room is left clean and neat, and the keys are returned and/or after the event is over at the year’s end.
4. Reservations require at least a 24-hour minimum advance notice.
5. Alcoholic beverages and tobacco are not permitted in the building.
6. No red colored punch, or Kool-Aid drinks are allowed in the meeting room due to their staining properties. Please report all spills promptly to the Librarian on duty.
7. Large meeting room reservations will be cancelled if the group or person is not present after a period of 15 minutes from the reservation start time.
8. Signage, decorations, and displays are not allowed outside of the Large Meeting Rooms and may not be attached to walls, woodwork, ceiling, windows, or doors within the Large Meeting Rooms. Tables and chairs should be left in the same way as they are found.
9. If the key checked out is lost or not returned, the responsible party is liable for the cost of replacing the lock on the door.
10. Any claim, liabilities or damage to the building will be the responsibility of the individual or group agreeing to the use of the meeting room. Please report any damage to the librarian on duty immediately.
11. Additionally, all users must agree to keep all activity, materials, food, and noise contained within the large meeting rooms as the hallway must be kept open and accessible to all patrons.
12. The person filling out the application must be present for the duration of the event.
13. The library reserves the right to deny any request for use of this facility.
14. Library staff will not take calls for people attending these meetings unless it is an emergency.
15. All library activities will have priority.
16. Only nonprofit civic groups and school organizations will be allowed to do small fundraisers and library related programs to raise funds as approved by the library director. No other organization will be allowed to use the meeting room for monetary gain.
17. Groups using the Monte Vista Library Large Meeting Room during business hours should park south of the library along the street or in the city lot across from the library, reserving parking directly in front of the library for our elderly patrons.
18. No exercise, dance activities, birthday parties or showers will be allowed.
19. The meeting room and kitchen area must be left clean and orderly.
            a. Please check the floors for trash and dirt.
            b. Please take out the trash if it is full.
20. Turn all lights off and lock the door before leaving. Return the key to the library office by noon the following day, Monday - Saturday. Your deposit will be returned to you at this time.

Small Meeting Rooms

1.  Alcoholic beverages and tobacco are not permitted in the building.
2.  No red colored punch or Kool-Aid or drink is allowed in the meeting room due to its staining.
3.  The meeting room must be left clean and orderly.
4.  Any decorations are limited to table decorations only. Nothing shall be hung from the ceiling, walls, or   on the doors.
5.  All library activities will have priority.
6.  Any claims, liabilities or damages to the building will be the responsibility of the individual or group agreeing to the use of the meeting room.
7.  All lights must be turned off and the outside door must be locked before any group leaves the building.
8.  The Library reserves the right to deny any request for the use of its facilities.
